Data warehouse for Exchequer Enterprise  Data Warehouse for Exchequer Enterprise:

The Data Warehouse extracts Exchequer data and replicates it in an external Microsoft Access Database or Microsoft SQL Database.

Uses/Benefits

Fully Microsoft compatible, can use virtually any report engine with Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL.   These database engines can deliver extremely fast reporting as they can be optimised for delivering complex reports whereas Enterprise is optimised for processing transactions at speed.

Easily use the information to integrate within other systems.  The data warehouse can be used for integration with bespoke systems.  Changes to the structure of the database will not affect Exchequer Enterprise, extra field indexes can be added to the table for bespoke uses.

Supper fast reporting and data analysis

Use "off the shelf" tools, such as Crystal Reports, Excel, MS Access, etc, to access the data warehouse MS SQL or MS Access data.

Fast Synchronisation of Exchequer data

Only changed data is updated, thus the update of large companies can be updated in minutes, multiple times a day

Create your own indexes to speed up reporting

Turn on your own indexes within the data warehouse data file for efficient bespoke reporting and data analysis.

Replace Pervasive ODBC with proper MS SQL ODBC or MS Access ODBC

MS SQL ODBC or MS Access ODBC will outperform the pervasive ODBC in turns of speed and ease of use.

No more field values that are stored as split integers

In Enterprise many transaction field values are stored in split integers, which are a pain to convert to conventional floating point field values for reporting.

Extra derived fields such as:-

  • Transactions are signed for credit/debits, thus easy handling of credit notes in reports
  • First bought, Last bought, Last sold dates on Customer, Stock and Stock location record (based on invoice). ·
  • Customer records contain the last 26 period turnover figures.
  • Exchequer Notes are posted to memo fields.
  • Addresses and stock description are also posted to memo fields.
  • Job record contains YTD figures for the 10 categories.
  • JobAnalysisTotals gives YTD figure for each Job analysis code.

Customer Comment:

“The Data warehouse has been a valuable add-on. It has allowed us to produce the reports we wanted based on data, which would have been difficult to process in Exchequer Enterprise. It’s fast, easy and you don’t have to be an Enterprise Expert!. We have also used the Data warehouse Enterprise Information within our own call logging system written in MS Access” says Barry Moorcroft of Central Data Installations.
